Dr. Shutty is a board-certified dermatologist with a special interest in cosmetic medicine and dermatologic surgery. To elevate his knowledge and skill set, Dr. Shutty joined Clinic 5C to train as a cosmetic surgery fellow under Dr. Cameron Chesnut, a thought leader in the cosmetic and dermatologic surgery arena.
Outside of work, Dr. Shutty enjoys being outdoors as well as hiking, boating, scuba-diving, piano, and traveling with his family. Coming to Clinic 5C from South Florida, Dr. Shutty is excited to engage in all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer including incredible winter sports like skiing.
Background and education
Dr. Shutty hails from Western Pennsylvania, but has spent the last 15 years in Florida. He graduated with highest honors from Saint Vincent College with a bachelor’s degree in both biology and studio arts. Dr. Shutty subsequently entered into the medicine program at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his internship and dermatology residency in the Tampa Bay region of Florida. Upon graduating from residency, Dr. Shutty was accepted into a prestigious fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital to further study cutaneous allergy and occupationally related skin disorders. Prior to joining Clinic 5C, Dr. Shutty was in private practice for many years and additionally cared for veterans through his service at the department of Veterans Affairs.
